The 265 works nominated for the MCHAP and MCHAP for Emerging Architecture were presented to the MCHAP jury during the first session held at the S.R. Crown Hall, at the Illinois Institute of Technology College of Architecture (IIT), on March 28th and 29th, 2014. The nominations were submitted by a network of diverse professionals from across the Americas who have significantly impacted architectural theory and practice. The works, completed between January 2000 and December 2013, represent a diversity of scale, type, and location in the South and North American continents. To select the MCHAP winner from the 225 nominees, the jury will travel to the finalists to personally experience the selected works. These finalists and the winner will be announced in July 2014.
