This project was the winner of a national architectural competition. The proposed building for the headquarters of the Council of Engineering, Architecture and Agronomy of Espírito Santo State meets all the requirements that were imposed for its project: the strong limitations of urban legislation, including in relation to height, requests the program’s internal sectorization of the Council; the use of the maximum permitted area, the creation of parking areas for four hundred vehicles, shops and the creation of free plan floors, the concern with the economics, flexibility in the utilization of space and care to ensure a maximum use of light with greater thermal comfort. All these issues are well addressed in the project, as were demands which could not be neglected. Moreover, and above all, the intention was to create a building with a meaningful image, a formal expression strong enough to mark the presence of Council on the state.
