    Alexandre Brasil

    Alexandre Brasil is an architect and urbanist (Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG, 1997) and holds a master’s degree in metal construction (Federal University of Ouro Preto – UFOP, 2006). He is a professor of design and construction techniques in the Architecture and Urbanism program at IBMEC. He is a coauthor of the book “Arquitetos Associados” (Miguilim Publisher, 2017).  Metal construction, modular coordination, new technologies and construction and structural systems, exploring their implications in design conception, are recurrent themes on his academic research and professional practice.

    André Luiz Prado

    André Luiz Prado is an architect and urbanist (Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG, 1998), with a master’s degree (2005) and a Ph.D. in Theory and Practice of Design (2014) from the same university. He is a professor of Architecture Design and coordinates the Architecture and Urbanism and Civil Engineering courses at IBMEC BH. Author of the books “Ao fim da cidade” (UFMG Publisher, 2016) and “Aterro Parque” (Nhamerica, 2018), his professional and academic focus lies in environmental sustainability in architecture and cities, social housing, and the education of architects.

    Bruno Santa Cecília

    Bruno Santa Cecília is an architect and urbanist (Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG, 2000), with a master’s degree (2004) and a Ph.D. in Theory and Practice of Design (2016) from the same university. He is a professor of Architecture Design at UFMG and also teaches at FUMEC University’s Architecture and Urbanism program. Coauthor of “Brazil: Architectural Guide” (DOM Publishers, 2013) and author of “Éolo Maia: complexidade e contradição na arquitetura brasileira” (UFMG Publisher, 2016), his interests encompass design theories, phenomenology of built space, and the appreciation of voids as support for daily life.

    Carlos Alberto Maciel

    Carlos Alberto Maciel is an architect and urbanist (Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG, 1997), with a master’s degree (2000) and a Ph.D. in Theory and Practice of Design (2015) from the same university. He is a full professor of Architecture Design at UFMG. Coauthor of “Territórios da Universidade: permanências e transformações” (UFMG Publisher, 2012) and author of the trilogy “Arquitetura como infraestrutura” (Miguilim Publisher, 2019), his areas of interest include reflection on architectural production beyond function and language, mapping design strategies related to mutability, growth, industrialization, and establishing more virtuous relationships with the city.

    Paula Zasnicoff Cardoso

    Paula Zasnicoff Cardoso is an architect and urbanist (Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo – FAU USP, 2000) and holds a master’s degree in Theory and Practice of Design (Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG, 2007). She is a professor of design in the Architecture and Urbanism program at IBMEC. The architecture of museums, public spaces and of buildings of cultural interest are the theme of her theoretical research and professional practice.
