This building consists of a variation of the Barcelona Residential Building. Also a low cost construction, explores the tension of its marginal location, in front of a planned avenue on the border of a farm. The interior of the studios differentiates collective spaces in the lower level and the individual in the second one, articulated by a ‘Santos Dumont’ stair located in a central void.
The block is oriented frontally to the future avenue, defining an interior court that works as a transition to the public, besides being a parking area. An internal loggia opens the 8 housing units to the court, allowing a cross ventilation in all interior spaces. The planes of walls that characterize the frontal façade define a protection for the tropical sun, working as brise-soleil, and reinforce the privacy of the interior garden of each unit.
