The initial desire for privacy and the consideration of local conditions guided the design of this residence, which is closed off from the asphalt – BR 474 – but open to the expansive view of the surrounding mountains.
The volume, positioned longitudinally along the contours, not only ensures the best adaptation of the building to the land, minimizing excessive earth cuts, but also allows all rooms to face the same view.
The program is divided into two sections: to the east are the more public areas near the existing road – the main access, garages, living/dining rooms, and kitchen. To the west are the office and bedrooms, ensuring the necessary privacy for these spaces. The building is designed as a single-story structure, made of solid ceramic bricks with a roof of thermo-acoustic metal tiles supported by metal trusses.
The structural module based on a 3.60-meter grid allows for standardization of walls and frames, providing cost efficiency and rationality in the construction.
